Although it is always nice to have family around one thing is fact: you get nothing done.</p>
<p>Therefore let me start with a review of this weekend. First we headed down to Rennes to visit IKEA. Of course we bought something. Will post about it because I think it is really handy.</p>
<p>After that we went to our favourite Asia Shop and bought some fresh noodles, coriander, mini pak choi, soy bean sprouts and a vitalising Ginseng drink that a korean student of mine recommended against spring tiredness. It seems to work. Will post about this, too.</p>
<div id="attachment_120" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://www.mybrittany.info/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/beefnsoy.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-120" title="beefnsoy" src="http://www.mybrittany.info/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/beefnsoy-300x225.jpg" alt="Beef..." width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Beef...</p></div>
<p>For saturday I made a mix of minced meat, soy sprouts and pak choi flavoured with some finely chopped ginger and garlic, soy sauce and served with fresh coriander leaves and rice.</p>
<div id="attachment_121" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://www.mybrittany.info/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/porcnsoy.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-121" title="porcnsoy" src="http://www.mybrittany.info/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/porcnsoy-300x225.jpg" alt="...and Porc." width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">...and Porc.</p></div>
<p>On sunday we had the same basis of soy sprouts and pak choi, this time with porc meat and asian noodles. The whole dish was also a pit more spicy as you can see by the little red devil on the plate <img src='http://www.mybrittany.info/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> .</p>

It is a very old town with a beautiful city center with houses that date back to the 16th century.</p>
<p>Dol de Bretagne is reputated to be the hometown of the scottish <a title="Royal House of Stuart" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Stuart" target="_blank">royal house of Stuart</a>. The family arrived in Britain with the army of William the Conqueror.</p>
<p>There are many little cafés and restaurants on the main street and next to the cathedral. My favourite café is the Bar PMU on the &#8220;Place de La Poste&#8221;. As you can see on the picture, they serve Lavazza <img src='http://www.mybrittany.info/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> .<br />
The city is crowned by its cathedral which is dedicated to <a title="Saint Samson" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Samson" target="_blank">Saint Samson</a>, one of the seven founding Saints of Brittany. He was born in Wales and died in Dol de Bretagne.</p>
<p><object width="445" height="326" data="http://photopeach.com/public/swf/story.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="flashvars" value="photos=http://photopeach.com%2Fapi%2Fgetphotos%3Falbum_id%3Dw8c0br&amp;autoplay=0&amp;embed=1" /><param name="src" value="http://photopeach.com/public/swf/story.swf" /></object></p>
<p>If you are in Dol de Bretagne you should visit the <a title="Cathedraloscope Dol de Bretagne" href="http://www.richesheures.net/epoque-6-15/culturel/35cathedraloscope-general.htm" target="_blank">Cathedraloscope</a>, a museum right next to the cathedral that shows the visitor how cathedrals were build. Very interesting!</p>
<p>The pictures on the beach are taken in Vivier sur Mer at the &#8220;Baie de Mont Saint Michel&#8221;. We were close to full moon so the tide was very low as you can see. The area is famous for its oysters and mussels.</p>
